1 Tbl oil
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
1 red onion, chopped finely
3 small tomatoes, chopped finely or pureed
1 green chilli
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1/2 tsp garam masala powder (make garam masala, then grind to powder)
1 cup rajmah - kidney beans, soaked overnight and cooked well-done
1/4 tsp chilli powder
1.5 Tbl coriander powder
1 tsp fenugreek - kastori methi
- Soak and cook kidney beans till well-done.
- Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds.
- When popped add finely chopped onion and cook till slightly browned.
- Add garam masala powder, ginger-garlic paste.
- Add little rajmah water, coriander powder, chopped tomato, green chilli and cook covered till mashed up.
- Add salt to taste, chilli powder, kastori methi powder, and rajma.
- Cook for 15 min under low heat.
- Add butter and coriander leaves.
Serve hot with naan, rice, roti.
