Blend together into a paste:
1 Red onion
15 dried chilies, deseeded, soaked in hot water
30 shallots,
10-15 fresh red chillies
5 candlenuts
Fresh med-large prawns, 350-400 gm
Fried until oil appears, use low heat, fry constantly, do not burn the sambal
Add the fresh prawns that has been soaked in the tamarind
Add:
1 tbl tamarind
1-1/2 inch belachan
Sugar and salt to taste
Done!
