Recommended: Mom's Prawn Sambal

Prawn Sambal

Blend together into a paste:
1 Red onion
8-10 dried chilies, deseeded, soaked in hot water
30 shallots,
10-15 fresh red chillies
5 candlenuts
Fresh med-large prawns, 350-400 gm

Saute the paste until oil appears, use low heat, fry constantly, do not burn the sambal.

Add the fresh prawns that has been soaked in the tamarind.

Finally add:
1 tbl tamarind
1-1/2 inch belachan
Sugar and salt to taste

Done!
